Saipem Shore Base & Project Logistics operations in Alexandria, Egypt - Max Marine Group support

    Operational Context

The engagement covered a rented logistics base with covered and open storage and office space, plus cargo handling, manpower and lifting equipment deployed inside the base, supporting Saipem while its rig drilled for Burullus Gas Company on the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) project. The base had to operate as project infrastructure, not only as storage.

    Client Challenge

The client needed warehouse and open storage, lifting activity, equipment maintenance support, office space and controlled personnel access sustained for the life of the engagement.

Max Marine ran the site end to end: indoor and outdoor handling areas, forklifts, cranes, trucks and trailers, warehouse and office infrastructure, access control, daily supervision and equipment maintenance support aligned to the project's certification requirements.

    Results & Operational Value

Saipem had a controlled Alexandria support base where storage, lifting, maintenance support, offices and access control were coordinated by one operating team.

The Alexandria base was managed as an extension of the project operation.
Equipment handling, access control and site supervision were kept under one local structure.
Project equipment remained supported for storage, lifting and maintenance requirements.
On the Burullus Phase VIII B and WDDM Phase IX A campaigns, sixteen cargo and supply vessels and a project barge were supported for Saipem Misr through Abu Qir and El Maadia Port, Alexandria.
